Supremo Huila, Colombia

Our Colombia Supremo Huila is a 17/18 screen true Colombian supremo specialty green coffee that has been grown in Colombia since at least 1732!

As the the 3rd largest producer of coffee in the world, Colombia is home to a vast number of coffee growing regions. Huila is one of the regions in the southern part of Colombia where many small farm holders sell their coffee beans in parchment to a local mill. Specialty Huila coffee is grown between 3,500 and 5,000 foot elevation in the Andes mountain range.

“Supremo” describes the bean size as Supremo beans are either 17 or 18 screen size. (Excelso are the 14/15 screen size). This Colombia Supremo Huila is mild and has a great balance between its body and acidity. The cup has a nice fruity-floral finish and a hint of spice!

Tasting Notes: Apricot and grapefruit with a slight toasted almond aroma. Medium body, medium acidity.
